Chlorinated paint is a single pack paint application that can be applied by roller or airless spray. An effective option for pools that have a history of substrate movement through ground instability or thermal expansion and contraction. Chlorinated rubber provides a cheaper option to the much harder longer lasting two pack epoxy application.
Epoxy coatings are more commonly recommended due to their longer durability in underwater applications. Due to the hardening process, during the epoxy application, provides a better resistance to pool chemicals resulting in prolonged durability of your swimming pools new surface.
Epoxy coatings require experienced personnel to administer, normally by airless spray, and are applied to the manufacturers recommended thickness and specifications.
